You Are There Hosted by Charlie Grinker: The 1960’s – Part One

YOU ARE THERE for the highlights of John F. Kennedy’s 1,000 days in office. Charlie produced Rose Kennedy Remembers, Mrs. Kennedy’s television autobiography, in 1972. Thanks to the President’s mother we’ll share a collection of home movies of the First Family which she gave Charlie permission to copy. Charlie also produced the three-part series, John F. Kennedy: A Celebration of his Life and Times. Camelot was quite a time what with the war in Vietnam that divided our nation, the Bay of Pigs failed Invasion, and the Cuban Missile Crisis which brought us close to war with the Soviet Union. The entertainment of the times was far better than the news. On top of the list we have The Beatles with some delightful moments and John Lennon’s personal thoughts about their music and the times.
